Paleo Apple Dip Recipe

This paleo apple dip is quite the crowdpleaser. It’s a great alternative to caramel dip for apples and full of great nutrition. For the recipe you will need a food processor and it will need to be cooked for a period of time. Bring this to a party and watch it disappear!

  • 8 medjool dates
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 13.5 oz. coconut milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ⅓ cup flaked coconut
  • 1 cup of chopped nuts ( pecans, walnuts or cashews)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ t sea salt

Put nuts in a food processor and chop, then set them aside. Next, put dates in the food processor with honey and blend until the mixture is paste like. Then add eggs and blend again. In a sauce pan add date mix,  coconut milk and cook over medium heat until the mixture starts to bubble, stirring constantly.  Turn off heat and add coconut flakes, chopped nuts, vanilla and salt.  Stir until thoroughly mixed.  Refrigerate and serve cold with thinly sliced apples.
