The 16th gift my garden gives me is satisfaction. In each season of the garden that I give the garden my best efforts, it rewards me with a great harvest in the end. My garden can be neat and tidy, each little seed is planted with care. Nurturing my little garden throughout the growing season, by feeding the plants, watering and keeping the pests away also gives me satisfaction. The greatest feeling of satisfaction comes from sharing the fruits of my labor with my family, and what a joy it is to take each delicious bite!

When planting a garden that will be full of satisfaction, it is important to plant in a soil that is free of weed seeds, is porous, and contains plenty of food for the plants. This sandy loam soil with organic matter is crucial to my weed free, productive, and organic garden systems.

Satisfaction Garden Quote

Once your soil is created and placed in a raised bed to further keep it away from the weed seed bank in your soil, you are ready to plant. Over the years, there is so much satisfaction to be had in experimenting with different seed varieties.

As the plants flourish, you will continue to nurture them in ways that bring you a deep peace and satisfaction. I feed my heavy feeder plants, like tomatoes, cucumbers, and other high producing plants a cup of compost and one tablespoon of organic fertilizer per each plant throughout the season to ensure the best tasting produce and healthy plants.

By doing this, my plants are much healthier in spite of the common pests and environmental problems that occur! When I partner this feeding with a frequent garden patrol, I can catch problems before they can rob the garden of the final satisfaction that it gives, the harvest!

One of the most obvious ways the garden gives satisfaction is in the food it produces. There is nothing quite like bringing one of your garden fresh tomatoes to your family. There is so much satisfaction and joy to be found in celebrating what you and your garden have accomplished over the growing season!

Does your garden give you this amount of satisfaction? If you long to co-create with your garden lush produce, you can still grow a garden, this season.
